Your Dedicated Principal Representative
The appointment of a Principal Representative is to fulfill ownership requirements for the registration of a vessel under the A&B flag in accordance with Section 11 of the Antigua and Barbuda Merchant Shipping Act, 2006, as amended.
The process takes approximately three (3) business days to be appointed.
For this process, no name search or reservation is required. However, the following documents are required:
- NMSL and ADOMS Application forms.
- Power of Attorney (POA)—duly notarized
- NMSL Professional Indemnity Services Agreement
- Forms A and/or B
- Certificate of Good Standing—duly notarized/certified
- Certificate of Incumbency is duly notarized/certified and is required if the name of the Director(s) is not mentioned in any corporate document.
- Corporate documents for the company (certificate of incorporation, articles/memorandum of incorporation) must be submitted duly notarized/certified.
- Due diligence requirements: passport bio page OR two (2) government-issued IDs, proof of address all duly certified and two (2) reference letters per natural person.
When the process is complete, an Appointment of a Principal Representative certificate is issued by ADOMS and scanned to the client before it is couriered.
